GST Group’s history illustrates a quantum leap from a small family-based seafood trading to a multi-million global business.
Since its founding in 1985, Goh Siong Tee Seafood Supplies, which was named after the father of Dato Goh Cheng Liang, began supplying fresh seafood to restaurants and hotels around the state of Penang. With perseverance and a wide network, the business flourished to the other parts of northern region of Malaysia.
In the early 90’s, the company’s first marine water fish-breading facilities, Goh Siong Tee Farm was set up in Pulau Aman, penang using the marine cage culture method. It grew steadily and enabled the company to accumulate to about 10,000 cages presently.
In 2005, the company has an important new feature to our import and export trade. This enable us to further venture into raw fish fillet processing and supply to global markets, as well as the fast food chains, restaurants, supermarkets, hypermarkets, cruise lines and hotels domestically.
